The ‘O’ in ‘.cm’
This photo tells all about our government.
This is the sign hanging at the rear entrance to the prime ministers office (Let me remind you that the prime minister is supposedly the head of government).
I will also not go into the fact that this is the lowest quality sign there is out there.
What I want you to look at is the url at the bottom.
It appears instead of www.spm.gov.cm the guy who did this wrote www.spm.gov.com.
Upon realizing his error, he used some white paint to erase the ‘o’.
Any other human being who cares even a little about their work would have then taken the 10 minutes and 200FCFA worth of paint needed to also shift the ‘m’ to the left so as to maintain a uniform spacing between the letters.
However, nobody cares enough because it is not that important.
The question is how many things as such do we neglect on a daily basis?
For me this alone tells me our government is run by careless individuals that have not the patience nor the love of doing great work.
As I write, I am in a public service office and peeping into every door, there is no sign that any work is being done. All the computers are shut down and people are chatting away - arms folded.
I hope you are not one of them.
