On Women's Complicity: A Call to Reckoning

The writer argues that women bear significant responsibility for their own social circumstances, not only men, pointing to how mothers have historically enforced violence, silenced victims, and perpetuated cycles of harm within families. The piece calls for women to move beyond victimhood narratives, acknowledge their agency in these systems, and rebuild through self-reflection, integrity, and mutual support.

As a young woman, I think women both the old, young, experienced, wise, intelligent and smart still have so much to learn.

WHY?

Feminism has been changed to something else and who do you blame for that? The men? Oh no

We talk of violence and blame the men but we forget to know we are our own problem. We promoted violence. Do you remember those days you will complain about your daughters to your sons. Giving them rights to beat their sisters in the name of correcting them.

Do you remember those days when you could have talked things in a calm manner, but hey, you are superior and so you are to raise your voice. You provoked the violence that came your way. Not all men grew up in a lousy and unfriendly environment. Not all men know how to handle lousy women like you by staying calm.

Listen I’m not supporting the men for raising their hands on you.

Do you remember when out of anger you slapped your son or that moment you slapped your man?

Do you also remember those days when you shut your daughters from revealing their rapists all because you were avoiding scandal and trying to let God take control? Well, you gave a go ahead for more rapists. You supported the beatings. You were FOR the violence.

I will say you were IGNORANT… we were all IGNORANT and still ignorant though we hide the ignorance.

I’m glad you are striving hard to stop it. I would have say it is too late but NO, your approach isn’t just the best. Some of you still promote violence in your houses while others will claim strong online and insult others who bring forth their stories.

STEP UP YOUR GAME. YOU ARE NOT TOO SMART NEITHER ARE YOU TOO HARD

Women, you invite more trouble to yourself by bringing the problems you could fix within to the public.

You are the reason for your own downfall and that because you think other women have it all whereas they too are struggling. You accepted the lie because it is what you want to hear and see and at the end you play victims of heartbreak and failure.

Your mind is being distorted and easily controlled by the media and that’s because you do not love yourself. You try to blackmail other women by faking stories and you think you are winning the game but NO, you are just digging more holes for yourself.

Sometimes all you need do is think and accept your wrongs. The distortions out here are too much and you are being lured into them. Challenge yourself to reason and act beyond emotions.

Raise your standards and do not compare yourself to anyone. You are your sisters’ keeper so don’t try to backstab her Remember if you challenge yourself to become better than your current social situation then you invite a massive change.

Stop faking Stop forcing Stop backstabbing Stop hating Be innovative Be the change you want to see Show love the same way you want to be loved.
