YUNG TIME
I need an explanation as to why he keeps using people’s beats for his songs. This beat is an exact copy of Meek Mill’s Dreams and Nightmares. The beat of Uh uh,uh hum was a copy of E- 40’s Choices.
I can understand when you do remixes to these songs but when you invest so much in a copy to the point of doing a video, It just makes me wonder. I don’t know much about copyright laws I however understand Yung Time’s brand is all about breaking the rules and I am one that admires rule breakers - They say you can't change the law if you don’t break the law but I guess this should be for the laws that are not fair to all groups.
Young time basically set himself up in this song because when I listen to it, I want his version of the message Meek Mill was giving on Dreams and nightmares but he took a song I am programmed to receive as a motivational and used to to describe his sexcapades - mostly. I listen to Lil Wayne in his rawest form so I have no problem with explicit lyrics. I actually enjoyed Uh uh,uh hum and I supported him publicly when people were giving him flag for the explicit nature. There were a few good lines in there that got lost in everything else. I would have probably enjoyed it more if it was on a different beat.
What I like about Yung Time is his hustle mentality, his team spirit and his courage; attributes we need from people in the music industry. When I watch his videos, I find him to be a very creative person and I can see the ideas he brought into this video -mic dropping bars behind bars.
Why did y’all have to strap a little cute puppy to the bars though?
Now, this could have been a total flop but his team spirit got him off the hook. Mic and Cool kid saved the day - they put the track back on message.

I don’t think there’ll ever be another Mayor of Punchline District like Mic. I mean, 8 punchlines in 21 trains of thought; that’s hard to come by around here. It felt like watching a boxing match. The guy went jab, jab, jab, jab, jab, right hook, left hook, right hook.

After his first line, they should have just let the beat play and give us some time to think about what just happened. I mean, this is why I listen to rap. When a rapper pulls from my C++ (programming language) textbook, I have no problem sending him to the bank.
