From what has been shared, she promoted a financial services company that allegedly defrauded someone of 10 million XAF. Some supporters say she did “one or two checks” before agreeing to advertise the business.
For her sake, we hope those checks included verifying whether the company was officially registered and licensed to operate in Cameroon.

One of the easiest steps is to confirm whether a company is legally registered.
Here’s how you can do it:
• Ask the company for its NIU (Numéro d’Identification Unique). This is the unique taxpayer identification number, and you’ll often find it on their official letterhead or documents.
• Enter that number on the Ministry of Finance verification portal to confirm if the company is recognized and registered.
