Thank You to All the Poise Ladies

In March 2020, Poise celebrated its female contributors in a special themed month, and the response exceeded expectations—nearly daily publications showcasing writing on diverse topics from relationships and business to research and personal reflection. The founders reflect on what this outpouring of trust and participation reveals about the platform they have spent three years building.

March was here, March is now over.

It has been a very interesting month on PoiseSocial. When we decided to celebrate the woman on PoiseSocial this month by asking for our female followers to send it articles that touched on anything they wanted to write about, we knew the response would be good. We just didn’t know it would be this good.

At no time in the short history of PoiseSocial have we had back-to-back-to-back content like we have had this month. Every day of this month, save for two, we have had something published here.

PoiseSocial has always been for us, before anything else, a platform to express and exchange thought-provoking ideas. We have always held ourselves accountable to quality writing, research and a clear and concise stance on the topics we choose to approach whether on the left side of the fence, on its right or standing on it. That is principally why we (Tino and Wilfred) have refused to be called bloggers. We like to think of ourselves as culture commentators and we want PoiseSocial to be remembered as such and hope that in the future people are going to come back here to read our articles in order to have a perspective of the times they were written in.

We are happy that the contributions that we all had from you ladies reflect that spirit and that same passion and energy. It makes us understand that what we have been building for the past 3 years has not been in vain and it gives us fuel to continue the work here.

So we want to thank you for sharing your thoughts with us and with the world. Thank you for sharing your fears, your insecurities, your moments of depression and your moments of exaltations. Thank you for giving us a glimpse into your classrooms, your homes, your relationships, your businesses. Thank you for sharing with us your research, your business tips and your knowledge. Thank you for making us laugh, cry, cheer you on, and for holding your hands in sympathy in the comment section.

Above all, thank you for choosing PoiseSocial to share all of that. We know you don’t always agree with Wilfred and Tino, but you still trust us enough to be here and to tell the world what you want to say. To us, that is more than a lot of things.

And so we want to thank you all:

Hananeel Niba, Sandra Borno, Ngwashi Christabel, Geraldine Mkong, Ameaka Fatima, Ewenye Mbesa, Cynthia Ngwani, Shingwa Leen, Maureen Wepngong, Chiara Manjo, Munge Sylvie, Christina Ifeoma, Batupe Shefa, Ndisii Mildred, Tsangue Stephanie, Ayuk Renette, Rhoda Ngwanya, Fonyuy Christa, Wallem Ketcha, Alombah Delight, Leila Kihga Tadbet Averra, Angwere Miranda, Mildrede Bonglack, The Girl Who Could fly

You guys are the real MVPs . We love you all and we are grateful
